The 3 long days before Hong Kong

In between Vietnam and Hong Kong, I had three days of class consisting of 7 total class periods. I went to one of them. Unlike most who skip class to sleep, I had a legitimate excuse. I had a persistent temperature of 101 that made me feel like, and probably looked like, walking death. Being stubborn, I did not go to the doctor. Instead I laid in bed, watched movies, took Tylenol, and drank the OJ that I had stolen from the dinning hall. Unfortunately, I had my third Global Studies exam and a paper due. I barely got my paper written and did not even study for the exam. I was at the peak of my fever while taking the exam and it was awful. Needless to say, I didn’t do so well. My friends were great. They brought me food, my assignments, and checked in on me. The day before arrival in Hong Kong, the captain kindly requested that all those not feeling well go and get their temperature taken. It was part of Hong Kong’s health regulations for entry in to the country. Of course I didn’t go. No way was I going to risk being quarantined and missing seeing the great wall. No way. Luckily, by that time, my fever had gone down and I was starting to feel back to “normal,” which these days, is not that much better.

PS. I just realized that I put Vietnam day 3 in twice. I apologize, but i cant read the japanese enough to edit it. sorry! I will update for China and Hong Kong in the next few days!!
